Who Is Petrus Jacobs?
30 years. One purpose: helping people grow.
Petrus Jacobs has spent 30 years doing one thing — helping people, young and old, reach their personal best and then push past it. He’s a motivational speaker, facilitator and Neuro Life Coach, and he’s spent more than 17 of those years running his own business, so he knows what the theory looks like when the pressure is real.
He started out as a maths and life-skills teacher. Fifteen years in the classroom taught him more about people than any textbook could, and somewhere in those years he found what he was actually good at: getting through to people. He went on to specialise in remedial education, working with learners who’d been written off by everyone else, helping them learn differently and believe in themselves again.
That’s been the constant ever since — whether it’s a Grade 7 learner finding their voice, a teacher rediscovering why they started, or a boardroom full of executives. Petrus works with schools, businesses and organisations that are serious about leadership, growth and performance, and over the years that’s included names like Toyota, General Electric, FNB, Old Mutual and the Law Society of South Africa. He’s a SACE-registered educator, an accredited assessor, moderator and facilitator, and his approach is built on how the brain actually works — the science, put into plain, practical terms people can use the next morning.
What drives him is simple. He believes every person, whatever their age or starting point, is carrying far more potential than they’ve been allowed to use — and his job is to help them get to it. His sessions are honest, funny, and hard to sit still through, and people tend to leave them wanting to change something.
